There are so many amazing venues in Yorkshire, its been a hard task to narrow it down to just 15. The wedding venues stated in this article are my opinions as a wedding photographer and I've based it on a range of factors like History, Location and Photographic opportunities.

At the end of the day, what makes the perfect wedding venue will be your personal taste and what you're looking for as a (soon to be) bride and groom.

Below is a collection of amazing Yorkshire wedding venues. They all supply a range of different options for your wedding day and all have their own characteristics. Hopefully this list gives you an idea of the wedding venues, Yorkshire has to offer.

WATERTON PARK

Its a photographers dream to photograph weddings at Waterton Park hotel. Such a stunning backdrop for all your wedding photos, this venue has got the X Factor. In the heart of Yorkshire, in a scenic valley of rolling parkland with its very own lake, sits the Waterton Park Hotel & Spa and Walton Hall.

Walton Hall is a gracious Georgian mansion on an island surrounded by its own lake. Its location is stunning and because of this, you'll not struggle to find spots to have your intimate wedding photographs.

It's regularly voted one of the top ten Yorkshire wedding venues due to its grand location and its endless options when it comes to your wedding photographs.

It's one of the more popular venues in Yorkshire and because of this, I have shot many weddings here. I have developed a great relationship with its staff as well as knowing all the best locations for your wedding photos.

If you're struggling to keep the weather on your side, you've still got a great selection of locations to grab your wedding photographs. The main door is under cover and can provide a stunning backdrop for a back lit night time shot. You've also got a beautiful staircase inside the Hall, as well as georgian rooms and fantastic fireplace.

ROGERTHORPE MANOR

Built over 400 years ago, the award winning Rogerthorpe Manor Hotel has charm and character. It is the perfect venue for your wedding day. Situated in the quaint village of Badsworth, this is one of the top wedding venues in Yorkshire. Its regularly voted one of the top 10 wedding venues due to its picturesque location and the endless options for your photographs.

You can be assured of some great photo opportunities within the garden and grounds. Or even an outdoor ceremony, underneath its amazing pavilion on the side lawn. Weather not going your way? Rogerthorpe has some amazing interior décor, which is a fantastic backdrop for some of your images.

Bridal preparations start in one of the venues beautiful honeymoon suites which overlook the lawn and stunning gardens. These well lit rooms offer some great opportunities for photos before the official ceremony begins.

With a rustic feel, one of Rogerthorpes bars is a great spot to catch a few shots of the groomsmen during their preparation.

WHITLEY HALL

Whitley Hall has to be one of my favourite wedding venues in Yorkshire. Set away from the hustle and bustle of Sheffield City centre, it is nestled in the rolling countryside of South Yorkshire. The hall is a 16th century ivy-clad mansion with stunning gardens and lake views.

Whether you choose to hold your civil ceremony with them or host your wedding breakfast after exchanging your vows I am sure you can create your perfect day in one of their stunning dedicated hospitality suites.

You wont be left struggling for photo opportunites here. Its beautiful garden has an abundance of secret spots to get some amazing wedding photographs during your day.

If the weather takes a turn for the worse, head inside and you'll find a fantastic spot for photos on the staircase or balcony.

WORTLEY HALL

HAZELWOOD CASTLE

Imagine this…. Nestled in the 77 acres of wonderful woodlands Hazlewood Castle is home to, it's the perfect woodland wedding venue, where you can rely on the season to showcase some stunning natural views.
