There are so many amazing venues in Yorkshire, its been a hard task to narrow it down to just 10. The wedding venues stated in this article are my opinions as a wedding photographer and I've based it on a range of factors like History, Location and Photographic opportunities.

At the end of the day, what makes the perfect wedding venue will be your personal taste and what you're looking for as a (soon to be) bride and groom.

Below is a collection of amazing Yorkshire wedding venues. They all supply a range of different options for your wedding day and all have their own characteristics. Hopefully this list gives you an idea of the wedding venues, Yorkshire has to offer.

The Kings Croft Hotel, Pontefract, is a beautiful, family run property, set in 8 acres of beautifully landscaped garden and grounds. The main building is Grade 2 Listed and maintains many of the original features. They have been hosting weddings for the past 15 years and have many stunning locations to have your intimate wedding photographs. 

They have a unique wedding pavilion surrounded by pond and water feature. It is the ideal place to hold your wedding ceremony, seats 80 guests and has stunning views across the countryside.

Along with the stunning Wedding Pavilion there are 4 function rooms to host your wedding reception, whether this is a small intimate meal for 10 to a party for up to 300 people with a disco and band.

The Kings Croft has plenty of locations for your wedding photos, including a stunning gate and field beyond. In the height of the season you will find many photographers taking this opportunity to get some beautiful photographs in the golden field.

As well as this, there is an amazing garden with its centre piece weeping willow at its core. You wont struggle for photography locations at the hotel. Even if you get rained off, the interior décor and photo hot spots are plenty.

All in all this wedding venue is every photographers dream and you should consider it as a main contender for your special day.

Its a photographers dream to photograph weddings at Waterton Park hotel. Such a stunning backdrop for all your wedding photos, this venue has got the X Factor. In the heart of Yorkshire, in a scenic valley of rolling parkland with its very own lake, sits the Waterton Park Hotel & Spa and Walton Hall.

Walton Hall is a gracious Georgian mansion on an island surrounded by its own lake. Its location is stunning and because of this, you'll not struggle to find spots to have your intimate wedding photographs.

It's regularly voted one of the top ten Yorkshire wedding venues due to its grand location and its endless options when it comes to your wedding photographs.

It's one of the more popular venues in Yorkshire and because of this, I have shot many weddings here. I have developed a great relationship with its staff as well as knowing all the best locations for your wedding photos.

If you're struggling to keep the weather on your side, you've still got a great selection of locations to grab your wedding photographs. The main door is under cover and can provide a stunning backdrop for a back lit night time shot. You've also got a beautiful staircase inside the Hall, as well as georgian rooms and fantastic fireplace.

Built over 400 years ago, the award winning Rogerthorpe Manor Hotel has charm and character. It is the perfect venue for your wedding day. Whitley Hall has to be one of my favourite wedding venues in Yorkshire. Set away from the hustle and bustle of Sheffield City centre, it is nestled in the rolling countryside of South Yorkshire. The hall is a 16th century ivy-clad mansion with stunning gardens and lake views.

Whether you choose to hold your civil ceremony with them or host your wedding breakfast after exchanging your vows I am sure you can create your perfect day in one of their stunning dedicated hospitality suites.

You wont be left struggling for photo opportunites here. Its beautiful garden has an abundance of secret spots to get some amazing wedding photographs during your day.

If the weather takes a turn for the worse, head inside and you'll find a fantastic spot for photos on the staircase or balcony.

The Millennium Gallery in Sheffield is a personal favourite of mine. The white walls of the Arundel Room provide a blank canvas for the happy couple to create the wedding of their dreams. 

There are no limits to the colours, themes and styles that can be added to this modern, versatile space. The amount of light that this room creates is extraordinary, and allows stunning photographs to be taken.

From vintage memorabilia to flora and fauna or garlands of paper lanterns, couples can add their own personal motifs and designs to transform this grand, light-filled room into the setting for the perfect wedding.

I have shot at well over 100 venues over my 14 years of being a wedding photographer. I still struggle to call an overall favourite, but im sure this article can give you a few ideas of what's out there.
